Looking back at the human history, there are many great figures worth our respect and admiration, who have contributed a lot to the development of civilization. The one I admire most is a world-famous software engineer and entrepreneur named Bill Gates who also impresses people as a generous philanthropist.
       Striving for success despite imperfection deserves respect. Gates was not the apple of his teachers' eye and he even dropped out of Harvard University. But motivated by his interest, he worked day and night to design the first version of BASIC language, which laid a good foundation for his future business success. Gates succeeded as a billionaire. But he announced in 2008 that he would contribute his personal assets of 58 billions dollars to the charity, which won him the respect of the whole world.
      Gates, a billionaire whose wealth and and fame are far beyond my reach, sets me a good example to follow, for his dedication to his career and generosity.
