Unit1 what's your father?

Teaching aims:

Knowledge aim:

Students will be able to read, recognize, and use these words: cook, nurse, doctor and so on.

Ability aim:

Students can use the words to describe the occupation in our daily life.

Emotional aim:

Students can be interested in speaking English and learning vocabulary.

Key points and difficult points:

Key points: Students can master the pronunciation and the meaning of the new words. Difficult points: students can read the words correctly and can use them to describe daily occupation.

Teaching Aids:

Video, pictures, PPT.

Teaching Procedures:

Step 1 Warming up

1. Play the song

Play the song Be what you wanna to be and ask students listen to the song and pay attention to the lyrics. Then lead students to find out the words they heard in the lyrics in the song.

2. Free talk

Let students talk about their parents' occupation and invite students to share their opinion with their classmates.

Step 2 Presentation

Show the photos of people in different clothes, and then ask students to guess their occupation and write the new words on the blackboard one by one.

Step 3 practice

Teacher asks students to read the words by playing the high and low voice game. Then sing the touch and say game to check whether students can read the words correctly and correct it in time if necessary.

Students are asked to play two games to practice the pronunciation and recognition of the new words, such as the missing game and finger show.

Step 4 production

In order to let students remember the words, teacher asks students to use the words to describe their parents' occupation by using the sentence "what's your father/mother?"

Students are asked to do survey on their classmates. They should ask their desk mates about their parents' occupation and finish the chart given on the PPT.

Summary and homework

1. Ask students to read the words and sentences to end this class.

2. Try to make a dialogue and write down the new sentences on the note book.
