【词条1】compare

【点拨】compare意为 比较 。常见搭配为:compare ... with ...意为 把 和 比较 ；compared with / to ...意为 和 比起来 ,在句中常用作状语。如:

If you compare the two books, you will see that this one is better.

Compared with / to those children in remote areas, you are indeed fortunate.

【拓展】compare还可意为 比喻,比拟 ,常与介词to搭配。如:

What surprises us is that the twins differ greatly in interests.

注意differ与介词的搭配:differ from 与 有区别 ；differ in 在某方面不同 ；differ with sb. about / on / over sth. 对某事与某人持不同的看法 。如:
