Some people think that city life is better than rural life in many aspects: goods supplies, public benefits, medical services and entertainments, etc.

To me, rural life has more advantages than urban life. Although people can enjoy many modern comforts in a city, yet rural life is more quiet, healthy and caring. Statistics show that majority of old people aged over 100 live in the country. Fresh air, vegatables and fruit.are a common occurance in the country while they are something hard to obtain in a city. Firendship, honesty and interaction in rural human relations tend to create a harmonious community more easily in the courtry than in an urban area.

In one word, rural life is better than city life, beneficial for people there to enjoy a peaceful and healthy lifestyle. (132 words)

This funny story made all of us break into a big laughter when we heard of it. The story took place last Sunday at a department store.

The leading roles of this story are very simple: two persons—my friend Xiao Jin and an unknown beautiful girl, and let us give her a name—Y, who came across my friend by chance.

That Sunday morning, Xiao Jin went shopping at a department store. At its entrance, Y stared at him, smiling affectionately. He was very excited, thinking that Y might like him. His happy feelings suddenly disappeared when he came to another supermarket. He found the reason Y smiled at him because he detected in the big mirrow at the door that his coat was buttoned in the wrong way. (130 words)

Subject: learning problem

Dear Xiao Bing,

Is everything well with your online learning? School will end very soon this semester. How are you preparing for the final test, especially for the English test?

I am also busy preparing for the final test. I have some problems in English learning. I thought that as an e-learning student I had to pay main attention only to English reading. Recently I feel worried about my English writing because I found I am so short of some basic writing knowledge and skills.

I know you once won a second place in your local English contest. I would like you to tell me your experiences in English learning, especially in English writing. If possible, give me some advice as to what books I should read or how I can avoid writing Chinglish.
