一、“It句型”
It作指示代词，代指无生命的东西，动物，婴儿，未确定身份的人，模糊概念，天气，时间，距离，上下文提到的内容等。
Jim is ill,have you heard of it?
吉姆生病了，你知道这件事吗?
It作形式主语，指代不定式，doing或从句做真正的主语
基本句型：
It+be动词+adj/n+(for sb of sb)+to do sth或it+be动词+adj/n+that从句
It is easy for him to speak English
It作形式宾语，指代不定式，doing或从句
基本句型：
主语+谓语+it+adj/n+to do sth或主语+谓语+it+adj/n+that从句
常用于这一句型的谓语动词有：find，consider，feel，make，think等
I feel it our duty to protect environment
It表示时间的常用句型
It is/has been+一段时间+since..."
自从...已有多久"，since后的从句用一般过去时
It has been two weeks since he left
他已经离开了两个星期了
It was+一段时间+before...
"在...之前过了多长时间"
before后的从句用过去完成时
It was three years before he had finished his research
在他完成他的研究之前已经过去三年了
It will be+一段时间+before...
"过了多久才..."
before后的从句用一般现在时
It will be two days before she arrives at Britain
两天后她才会到达英国
二、强调句型
强调句的基本句型是it is/was+被强调的内容+that/who从句
例：John gave Mary a handbag at christmas根据上下文和语境，说话人可以通过强调句型分别强调主语、宾语、状语，使之成为信息中心。如上句可以转化为：
It was john that/who gave Mary a handbag at christmas.(强调主语john)
It was Mary that john gave a handbag(to)at christmas(强调间接宾语mary)
It was a handbag that john gave mary at christmas.(强调直接宾语a handbag)
It was at christmas that john gave mary a handbag.(强调状语at christmas)
1.被强调的是状语或状语从句时，要用that引导句子，而不能用which，而且通常不能省略。
It is on the satellites of the mars that scientists have found water.
科学家是在火星上发现了水
2.被强调的是人时，引导词可以用who,也可以用that.
It was you that/who let out the secret to her
是你把这个秘密泄露给她的。
注意：当被强调的是主语时，代词要用主格形式。
3.被强调的不管是单数还是复数名词时，主语的be动词都用单数is或was.
对not...until时间状语从句进行强调时，其句型是：“It is/was not until...that从句，即not和until在强调句型中不能分开。
