　　“十一”黄金周起源于1999年，中国国务院公布了新的《全国年节及纪念日放假办法》，决定将、“五一”、“十一”的休息时间与前后的双休日拼接，从而形成7天的长假。2000年出现第一个7天的“十一黄金周”，之后每年国庆节假日旅游热潮席卷全国。“十一”黄金周也被视为是拉动内需、促进消费的一大举措。2012年国庆节和叠合假期长达8天，7日是最后一天，被称为“最长黄金周”。

　　The National Day Golden Week was created in 1999 when the State Council in China released the Regulations on Public Holidays for National Annual Festivals and Memorial Days, in which it was decided that the Chinese New Year, the Labour Day and the National Day holidays would be made into seven-day holidays by combining the weekends before and after the memorial or festive day. The first National Day Golden Week took place in 2000. Since then, there has been a sweeping wave of tourism during the National Day holiday every year. The National Day Golden Week is also seen as a strong move in boosting domestic consumption. In 2012, the Mid-Autumn Festival happened to fall just one day before the National Holiday. Lasting for 8 days and ending on the October 7, the 2012 National Day Golden week was called the "longest golden week".
