　　“未富先老”是目前中国人口平均年龄的增加高于发达国家同期增长水平，但人均收入水平却远低于发达国家，可谓“未变富先变老”。由于人口老龄化超前于现代化发展的速度，老年人面临着贫困、疾病、失能、服务、照料、精神关爱等诸多社会问题将是为来中国面临的一大难题。

　　Getting Old Before Getting Rich

　　Though the average age of Chinese people increases at a rate higher than that of developed countries over the same period, the income level of the Chinese people is much less than that of the same developed countries. This phenomena is called "getting old before getting rich". China will face a resulting series of social problems such as poverty, illness, disability, service labor shortage, nursing, and spiritual care as the aging speed exceeds that of modern development.
