will you fight?
let's go, we'll run, and we won't alone.
shame on you.
this could be the greatest night of our lives, but you're going to let it be the worst.
and i guarantee a week won't go by in your life you won't regret walking out, letting them get the best of you.
well, i'm not going home. we've come too far!
and i'm going to stay right here and fight for this lost cause.
a day may come when the courage of men fails… but it is not this day.the line must be drawn here. this far, no further!
i'm not saying it's going to be easy.
you're going to work harder than you ever worked before.
but that's fine, we'll just get tougher with it!
if a person grits his teeth and shows real determination failure is not an option.
that's how winning is done!
believe me when i say we can break this army here, and win just one for the gipper.
but i say to you what every warrior has known since the beginning of time: you've got to get mad.
i mean plumb, mad dog mean.
if you would be free men, then you must fight to fulfill that promise!
let us cut out their living guts one inch at a time, and they will know what we can do! let no man forget how menacing we are. we are lions!
you're like a big bear, man! this is your time! seize the day, never surrender, victory or death… that's the chicago way!
who's with me?
clap! clap! don't let tink die! clap! alright! let's fly!
and gentlemen in england now abed shall know my name is the lord when i tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take our independence day!

be patriotic 要爱国
it is the duty of every citizen to make the country rich and powerful (to make the country rich and strong is...). in order to accomplish this object one must be patriotic (love his country). i consider this an unchangeable truth.
how can a student love his country (be patriotic)? i find my answer very simple and clear. he must study hard and store up knowledge so as to serve his (the) country in the future. if every student can do according to what i said, the country will certainly be rich and powerful.
is failure a bad thing failure is a common thing in our daily life. as students, we sometimes fail to get high scores in our exams. when we play games, we might be beaten by others. and there are times when we fail to do work well. all these failures happen naturally and almost every one of us has such experiences. however, there are different attitudes towards failure. some people lose heart when they fail; they think the world is at its end. some people don‘t take failure seriously but just let it be, while some others learn much from failure, and therefore see the light of hope through failure. in (请关注好 范 文 网:WWW.HAOwORd.COm)my opinion, what is really important is not failure itself, but what we think of failure and what we do after failure. as long as we don‘t give up, keeping believing in ourselves, and at the same time learn something from failure, we‘ll certainly make our mark in the end. so i am never afraid of failure, for i believe that failure is not a bad thing. rather, “failure is the mother of success.”

1.what kind of people do you want to make friends with?
2.what do you think a good friend should be like?
3. do you think friendship is a kind of relationship? why?
how do you think about eliot’s reformation on harvard’s education?
do you think compulsory courses are necessary?
if our university’s courses were optional, what courses would you like to choose? (suppose we had all kind of courses)
it was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of
foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to heaven, we were all going direct the other way --- charles dickens, a tale of two cities
when love beckons to you follow him, though his ways are hard and steep. and when his wings enfold you yield to him, though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you. and when he speaks to you believe in him, though his voice may shatter your dreams as the north wind lays waste the garden. for even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you. even as he is for your growth so is he for your pruning. even as he ascends to your height and caresses your tenderest branches that quiver in the sun, so shall he descend to your roots and shake them in their clinging to the earth......
but if in your fear you would seek only love's peace and love's pleasure, then it is better for you that you cover your nakedness and pass out of love's threshing-floor, into the seasonless world where you shall laugh, but not all of your laughter, and weep, but not all of your tears. love gives naught but itself and takes naught but from itself.
love possesses not nor would it be possessed; for love is sufficient unto love.
and think not you can direct the course of love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course. love has no other desire but to fulfill itself.
but if you love and must needs have desires, let these be your desires: to melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night. to know the pain of too much tenderness. to be wounded by your own understanding of love; and to bleed willingly and joyfully.
